MRS Fall 2018 Recap w/ G2V Optics Inc.

December 13, 2018

Several members of Admiral Instruments spent the last week of November in Boston to exhibit at the Materials Research Society Fall 2018 Meeting & Expo. It was quite a unique way to spend the week after Thanksgiving!

This year’s MRS exhibit hosted approximately 6,500 attendees through the course of the 3-day show. What made this year’s conference particularly special was having the opportunity to welcome Nazanin Shafiee, Sales & Marketing Lead at G2V Optics, to our booth.

Nazanin flew in from Alberta, Canada to showcase her team’s innovative $12,000 Pico Variable solar simulator alongside our ever-popular $4,900 EIS-capable Squidstat Plus potentiostats. Admiral Instruments and G2V Optics have recently formed a partnership to integrate our Squidstat potentiostats with G2V Optics light sources to create a modern, versatile, and cost-effective photo-electrochemistry test platforms for all types of academic and industry research around the world.

Despite several flight delays between Phoenix and Boston that almost disrupted the entire conference for us, we’re happy to report a record-setting number of customer conversations compared to all past MRS conferences so far. We engaged in discussions with nearly 100 researchers from 17 different countries that we or our international distributors are actively following up with.

Admiral Instruments is endeavoring every single day to find innovative test & measurement solutions for our customers, and working with G2V Optics is a big step forward in our mission to better serve electrochemists. By combining the Squidstat Plus potentiostat with LED-based solar simulators from G2V Optics, customers can obtain powerful, compact, and versatile photo-electrochemistry workstations with a tunable light source for as low as $16,900 USD. Contact us if you’d like to learn more!

G2V Optics’ Pico Variable Solar Simulator at our booth was a “star” attraction! (pun intended)

If you missed us in Boston this time, there are still ample opportunities to meet us in person at a variety of conferences in 2019. Check out the bottom of the Admiral Instruments homepage to see our 2019 exhibition schedule.

See you back in Boston in Fall 2019, or hopefully sooner at a different conference!
